Infused Maple Syrup
Bourbon Barrel and Rum Barrel Aged Maple Syrup REALLY IS the perfect gift for any occasion! It pairs excellently with vanilla ice cream, or Greek yogurt. Or if you’re looking to indulge first thing in the morning it adds a sophisticated taste to your traditional pancakes or waffles.
How did we make our organic maple syrup taste even better? It sounds impossible, but we found a way! The secret is aging our organic syrup in freshly emptied Bourbon or Rum barrels straight from a New England distillery. Over time, the smooth flavors and oak undertones infuse into the syrup. We pour warm syrup straight from the arch into waiting barrels, cork them, and wait patiently until it is time to can them up. Our traditional Organic syrup takes on an elegant twist that is to DIE for!
Bourbon barrel aged syrup and Rum barrel aged syrup are our most popular products. We travel New England attending many festivals, and we get countless compliments on how absolutely delicious these syrups are!
*Not considered alcoholic. It may have trace amounts of alcohol from the barrel.
**Made with organic maple syrup, but not considered organic because the barrel.
***Gluten Free. The distillery assures us there is no gluten in the Bourbon after it is distilled.
Maple Sugar
Maple sugar is made of pure, organic maple syrup. In olden times, all the maple syrup was boiled down to sugar to make transporting it easier. That’s why we use terms like “sugar shack” and “Sugar Makers”. Maple sugar is boiled down so that almost all the water is gone, and you have left is a granulated pile of sugar, minerals and vitamins.
Maple sugar is great substitute for processed white sugar in all of your baking, and 1:1 substitute for sugar in your coffee or tea.
Maple Cream
Maple cream is a smooth, sweet and delicious product with one ingredient: maple syrup. It has a soft butter consistency, and it is often called Maple Butter. You can use maple cream anywhere you can think to use Nutella: On toast, apple slices, as a frosting, or as a spread on a hamburger. The options are limitless!
Maple Candy
These Vermont maple candy treats have one ingredient: our pure organic maple syrup. Our maple candies are made daily to order in small batches, and they are incredibly fresh. They’re soft and quickly melt in your mouth, coffee or tea. If you’ve never had maple candy straight from a sugar maker, you’re missing out!
Golden Color with Delicate Taste – We make this traditional candy using our Golden maple syrup. It has a delicate maple flavor and a light color. This syrup is the most traditional kind to use for maple candies.
Amber Color with Rich Taste – We make this candy using our Amber maple syrup. This gives it a darker color and a rich maple flavor. These are best for maple lovers, and go especially well in a cup of tea or coffee.
Our candy is best when it is fresh and consumed within 30 days of ordering. To extend their shelf life store them in a freezer or refrigerator.
Syrup Flavors
Bourbon or Rum Barrel Aged Maple Syrup
We age our Bourbon and rum maple syrups in freshly empties barrels straight from a New England Distillery. As the syrup matures, the smooth flavors and oak undertones of the barrel infuse into the syrup, adding a sophisticated twist on a classic.
Golden Color with Delicate Flavor
Usually made at the beginning of the maple season, this syrup was known once as Fancy. Its subtle maple flavor pairs well with vanilla ice cream and yogurt. It is also an excellent recipe substitute if a strong maple flavor is not desired.
Amber Color with Rich Flavor
Usually made about mid-season and seems to be the most popular for all-around use. Full of characteristic maple flavor, this syrup is equally as good over waffles as it is in salad dressings, cocktails, or in a maple-sweetened barbecue sauce. If you’re only going to have one grade of Vermont maple syrup in your kitchen, make it Amber Color with Rich Flavor.
Dark Color with Robust Flavor
As the maple season progresses, the syrup darkens in color and develops a more robust maple flavor. Good for all around use, its hearty flavor is a great choice for all kinds of recipes. Pour over baked apples or squash, use as a glaze for meats and vegetables, or sweeten baked goods. This grade pairs well with smoky and spicy flavors like chipotle peppers, sriracha, or bourbon.
